Here in Thailand, the bamboo deck is working. However, the handle came twisted. Otherwise great skateboard.

Love this board stock! But also very customizable!

Love this thing. Upgraded from the Backfire G2, which I loved as well, but the Tynee Explorer is worlds beyond. Smooth as butter to ride on all the roads around my house. I’ve taken it on gravel, grass, and some forest floor with no problem. This is my first time using actual tires on a board, and though I’m nervous of getting a flat, the positives have outweighed that fear. I will say the motor is noisier than the G2 ever was, but with the extra power, speed, and mileage, it isn’t something I mind too much.
I’ve put over 150 miles on the thing in the first week I’ve owned it. Plan on getting over 1k.
Thank you Aiden and Tynee Crew!

This is my second Tynee Board besides my Stinger, wich i love and use every day! Carving with those DKP Trucks with power and range is pure joy! I adjusted the bushings to my liking and the experience was night and day! But the Explorer took me a second to adjust. Playing around with the bushings i found the sweetspot . It carves beautifully and feels really stable. The flex is my favorite part though. I allways used longboards with a bit of flex and here you have plenty. I changed the grip to ab acedeck my brother had lying around, to soften the top abit wich also made the riding experience more stable for me. I fell in love with this board and i reccomend putting in some time to customize the board to your liking! Great job Tynee ,super solid board and lovely customer support :)
John M.
Love love love this board! It’s a lot of fun. Accelerates and brakes perfectly giving this beginner confidence. Video attached is only 8 days from getting the board and I made such a progression vs my old chea board that had very sketchy throttle and braking.
Looks extremely good and sleek. Fast! Eats hills like it’s no problem. Range is exceptional for the cost. You really get your moneys worth.
Robert K.
Great board! I had to replace the bushings (the stock are too stiff), balanced the wheels and added some slime to prevent flats (Just 1oz per wheel). I already put maybe 20 miles of pavement and 10 miles offroad and no flats, no issues at all.
On pavement I went maybe 16-18 miles and battery showed over 50%! About half the range on fire road hard pack dirt/pebble type terrain. The board is exceeding my expectations so far.

After making preferred adjustments, I can truly say that the Tynee Explorer reigns supreme over all other luxury AT boards with its very competitive price and premium quality. When other reviews are constantly saying how comfortable the ride, they are not exaggerating in the slightest. This is the most comfortable board I have ever ridden. The tires were hardly an issue as most other reviews have said. I just had to put some air in them and they were practically solid throughout the couple short rides I had on it. It was a good idea that I bought the bigger battery, because I can definitely picture myself riding for 44 miles straight if I had the time. All I can say is, if you're planning on putting money towards a premium board, it's hard to say no to the Tynee Explorer. I understand why Aiden and the company want to stay on the down low, but they deserve all the praise and appreciation for their high quality customer service and premium quality products. Bravo Aiden and Tynee Team! I'll most likely be coming back to this board or an updated one in the future when it's time to buy a new one!
Jeff H.
A great board! High speed stability is excellent acceleration is smooth and the battery life with the extended range battery is awesome. Came with a pile of extras including a spare charging port, tubes and hardware.
Eric C.
Why, oh why, have I been riding on regular skateboard wheels before. All terrain is the way to go. You don't need to study the road while skating because you'll roll over everything. Super quiet and smooth ride especially with pneumatic wheels, and extra stable with the wide wheelbase especially at high speeds. Go all terrain and you will be happy.
With that said, the best all terrain board for the money is the Tynee explorer. All the range and performance you'll ever need.
Baxter I.
I've done rigorous testing with the board, including mountain riding and wooden trail riding. While trying for the maximum speed, I reached around 59 km/h and still felt safe. I usually cruise around 40-45 km/h, and with the regular kingpin, it has been a complete joy. The only downside is the turning radius with the regular kingpin, which isn't great. However, carving at 40 km/h has never felt this safe. In the first two weeks of owning this board, I covered around 400 km. I would totally recommend this board.
Additionally, one of the bearings started seizing up, but when I contacted Tynee, Aiden instantly responded and took care of it! Kudos to the Tynee team!
Dimitrij D.
Its amazing board, a lot of torque, 30+km range, only sad think that could yet try out the cloud wheels, but hope soon I will try
John W.
I absolutely love this board. I bought it in January and have almost 800 miles on it. Ive ridden in all weather situations and it truly is waterproof. Im from the mountainess state of Pennsylvania and have climbed some of the steepest inclines in my area with pleanty of power. (weighing in @ 250lbs.) I love the ride feel on the pneumatic wheels , but the cloud wheel range is almost doubled for my riding style and conditions. That being said, from day 1 the pneumatic tubes have been an issue . They were low if not flat out of the box and i havent ridden them much due to issues holding air and going flat. Get the cloud wheels and eliminate this problem. Even with my wheel issue, the performance of this board is mind blowing and the riding experience is a thrill beyond my expectations. So i still give them a “5 out of 5 star review“!! Thanks Tynee!!

Aidan M.
Love this board! The deck is amazing and the ride feels so comfortable. I can ride basically anywhere now! One small thing I think could be better is the strap for the remote since mine broke already. Would also be nice if it had an adjustable wrist lock. NBD, I have some extras laying around :)
AXEL M.
With streetwheels it feels like a true longboard! Close to the ground, good carve and great flex!
10/10 Love it

Just passed the 700km mark on my board. This thing is has tons of pull and is very fast. You doo feel the difference between a full and a low battery but it isn't very pronounced.
My only complaint is the lack of a plastic section on the motor protector. If you stand the board up you are scraping the metal frame. I 3d printed a part that fixes this issue.
I also added splash guards as the wheels kick up a lots of spray if the road is wet.
Cheers to 700km more!
Peter S.
I've ridden about 30km on my Explorer and I'm so impressed by the quality of this board. This is my first esk8 and I'm happy that I chose Tynee as my entry point into the hobby. Super fast shipping, Aiden has been great to deal with. If I ever get a second board, I'm sure I'll get another Tynee.
Christopher L.
Powerful, stable and good looking.
Best bird I’ve ever owned!
T O.
This is a high-quality board, especially for the price. In fact, I'll make the argument that, as of early 2024, there isn't a better board for this price -- especially if you go for the Samsung 850wH battery. The battery pack alone is literally the best on the market, right now, and is worth nearly the retail price of the Explorer.
I did a lot of research on electric skateboards before ordering. I found that the parts you get with the Tynee Explorer are quite literally unbeatable, price-wise, compared to purchasing everything yourself and assembling your own board.
Motors are of high quality, plenty of torque. Remote control works fine, it's the standard remote you'll get on most other electric longboards that use a Hobbywing ESC. The app is a nice touch, makes customizing your ESC's settings via the remote much easier. I recommend downloading it. The ESC is great, very responsive, no issues with connectivity.
Out of the box, Speed Setting 1 is perfect for beginners. Run this for a couple miles. Speed setting 2 is fine once you're comfortable. But I would get very comfortable with the throttle AND the brake (which can be touchy) before going to 3 or 4. I've been skateboarding for years, and this isn't my first electric longboard. But I find setting 3 to be the safe limit, and setting 4 is really just if you've got a death wish. It's insanely fast.
The board itself is great. I don't get the complaints about "fit and finish." It's literally CNC'd / machine-cut to be perfectly symmetrical. The laminate is solid, the cuts are smooth, the grip tape is excellent. What else do you want?
Trucks are great. Good casting, good finish, good bushings, good carving ability, and good control. Little stiff out of the box, but that's what you want on a board that can do 30+ MPH. They'll wear in after ~100 miles.
Attention to detail is nice, too. Assembly was on point, Loctite was used on all fasteners, and all the nuts are Nylon lockers. Everything was torqued appropriately -- nothing loose nor too tight. Tire PSI on pneumatics was equal in all four tires.
The battery pack is insanely high-quality. I have to come back to that, beacuse it's crazy that you can get this ENTIRE BOARD for this price, given the battery alone would normally cost almost the same. And it's legit Samsungs. The battery casing is high-quality, eveything is waterproofed phenomenally, the casing is high-quality.
Lastly, Tynee's customer service is on point. Very responsive and helpful, unlike a lot of other companies. With technical, performance products and electronics like this, good customer service and product support should be as important to you, oh customer, as the product itself.
Really just blown away, overall, at the price vs. quality and service of this thing. The owner of Tynee (Aiden) definitely speaks the truth in his letter he included with my board: He says out to give you a helluva good electric longboard for a pretty crazy good price point, and I believe it.
I work in eCommerce as a marketing manager, and I'm genuinely impressed with no substantive complaints. This is a good buy. Great buy, actually.
Dennis P.
My first Eskate. I love it. Never been on a skateboard before… this thing is a Cadillac. Stable, solid…got it up to 20mph first time out.
I’m considering trying the other trucks, thinking about trying out other wheels.
Brad M.
Amazing board, I've owned quite a few electric longboards in the past but nothing can compare to this board. This is a powerful and comfortable board for the price. Will definitely try more of these products. Thank you
Mélisande P.
Très contente de ma nouvelle board.
Puissante, performante et bonne autonomie.
J’en suis ravie !
Frederik V.
I gotta say this purchase was troublesome.
When I got the board I took a ride and found out the tubes were flat, that's pretty normal. But when I pumped them they didn't hold air. I then took them out and they had holes in them, so there goes my spare tubes since I had to use them. On top of that the front wheels were oriented the wrong way.
With all that being said, after I had switched the front wheels around, and changed the tubes and pumped air into all the tires, I took a ride and I love the board.
That's why I still have to give it 4 stars, cause this board is just super fun, and it has some serious power.
Alexandru H.
Night right at 2am the moment I got my hands on this bad boy. You simply can't go wrong with this board. This is way more value than the stated $999. A comfy ride, on a very powerful board. Super stable at high speeds. Job well done, Tyneeboard!
Joseph G.
Great board, and fantastic customer service. Strong recommend for any e-board enthusiast.
Bernard J.
Excellent skateboard , j'en avais déjà un mais celui ci est d'un autre niveau ! En plus le service et les échanges sont nickel ils sont à l'écoute et hyper réactif , d'ailleurs je recommande !
Vladimir P.
Board us fine, we'll made and till now overall experience is good, expectation is partially met..
There were issues with the HOTA tyres, which are not well made has asymmetrical shape, part of the tire comes a bit off the rim..
Bushings are total crap, trucks are not destined for carving, turning is hell and takes ages(turning radius is enormous), now I regret that I didn't order also the Double Kingpin trucks...
Board is soo heavy so consider this If you want to commute.. not comfortable at all...
Now I think that maybe more suitable Board could be the Ultra X or even Mini Pro(Stinger is also great)
Due compact design and less total weight.
Jade R.
Was very good for its price and beginner friendly. Everything out of the box was ready to go. My girlfriend who didn't have any skateboarding managed to pick it up quickly. The settings on the remote was useful for limiting the speed when learning. A bit of wobble on the tires when going above 25km/hr, need to balance the wheels unlike Evolve hubs with built in balancing, havent tried the airless AT wheel option. Also loosened the trucks a bit so it carves better.
Michal O.
Order went smooth, no issues. Board is awesome, would recommend
Spencer E.
I got the Explorer, it's an amazing board. I've skated my whole life, but this is my first electric. It was amazing to cover 20 miles in under 2 hours, I've never done that before. It was amazing to go 20 mph up a steep hill. I also like how the explorer has 150 mm wheels, I feel comfortable skating over sketchy asphalt without worrying that my wheels are going to catch on something. I'm 215 lbs, ride in a pretty hilly area, and have been able to get 25 miles with the 150 mm wheels, I'm super impressed with the range. I've also loved the brake, I've been bombing hills I could never do on a non-electric board. This board is great.
Tashi V.
Absolutely love this board. This was my entry to the world of electric skateboards, and it has been so much fun to use. Cheaper than a car and gets me to where I need in the city. Quality is good and it has plenty of performance for all my needs. I especially like that it can handle very steep inclines with ease. I also like the modular approach and the fact that if something breaks, I know that I can replace it myself. It has been a lot of fun pulling everything apart and learning how it works. I am also incredibly happy with the customer service - at one point my board stopped connecting to my remote, which meant I was unable to get around. After contacting tybeeboard they immediately offered me a replacement ESC free of charge, which fixed the issue once replaced. I would 100% recommend the tyneeboard Explorer to anyone looking for a great mode of transport and a whole lot of fun.
Mingyi X.
I have owned this board for 3 months now, time to re-review it (I have a 3-day review previously). Now I have put close to 350 miles on it. I have to say this board exceeded my expectation. If comfort is what you want, this is the board for you. It is just so comfortable that it doesn't hurt your foot or knee once your body got used to it. I even used it to commute to work sometimes, which is 6 miles one-way. I remember when I first got it, I was thinking that it would be too heavy to carry around. I would still use my mini board for short-distance travel between buildings at work. But now, this board is with me everywhere I go (just need to locate elevators in all the buildings :). The belts snapped at around 250 miles, I did kinda abuse them on very rough terrains (sand, lawn, gravel etc.). Maybe they will last much longer on streets. Also, no weird issue on ESC. I was a little concerned about it as I read some initial reviews on reddit. But ESC V2 seems to run perfectly. Also, Aiden is very responsive on chat. He addressed all the concerns I had. Very happy.
CHARLES C.
Thank you Aiden for the fast delivery.
I just took my second ride on the Explorer and I love it. First time I thought the range was just normal.. but then I pumped the wheels and the range was amazing!!!
Greetings from France,

After watching esk8unitys review, I was convinced the Tynee Explorer was my new board. Coming from a meepo mini, I wanted a long board with all terrain tires and the ability to switch to street wheels when I wanted to go back to a traditional longboard vibe. I love this board. Best buy for $995
Nicholas M.
I have been riding my Tynee Explorer and it is everything I expected and wanted. Before purchase I was a little concerned because of may weight. I am about 208 pounds and I wondered if that is too heavy for this board and I found that is not. It works well for my weight.
Austin .
Have had nothing but fun with this purchase. Bought this hoping it would be good, liking the specs, and it was worth it. Have the luxury of private roads in the neighborhood so I added these street 105 wheels. Stupid grip, comfort, and soft cracks dont seem to affect it whatsoever. Have yet to put on the new pulleys and belts but hoping for 40mph on 32 tooth pulleys.
Akos B.
The board is good value for money. However, I've had an issue with the pneumatic tires coming faulty from the factory. As a result, my inner tubes in the back tires popped immediately every time I rode. It was 4 tubes in 50km, with which I used up all the spare tubes quickly and I didn't have any replacements.
Otherwise, the acceleration and top speed could be a bit better.
The deck is overall very comfortable and stable.
Nathan G.
The board is pretty much perfect for 999$ it’s a bargain. Perfectly suit my riding style. I’ve already done 350+ km in a month. Super comfortable but doesn’t disappoint on the power with that new 80A esc.
Bryan H.
I've had my board now for a couple weeks and I can't stop thinking about it. This board is the bomb.com, plain and simple. I have to say that I haven't had this fun in ages. The adrenaline I get from the ride is absolutely amazing!! I like the features of being able to customize the remote to cater to your skill level, but I've just been riding full blast balls to the wall and the acceleration is amazing! I'm a 200lb guy and I've topped out at 25mph before I start getting a little scared. Not for the stability of the board or the smooth ride, I get nervous because I don't have full leathers on or a full face helmet. The board scoots and I low key just want to buy another one so one of my friends can ride with me. If you have the money, run it, you won't be disappointed!
jean marie a.
What a great board with good price . Carvy and powerfull, i love it (i have prefered reproach the trucks whith my 1 meter 65 it's possible on the board) However there is several little things who could be better i think:
-Belts in 360mm are too long but fortunately now it's 355.
-Cruise control with push two buttons (as some other electrics boards) is dangerous and not useful i think.
- there is some little point of rust on the motors, i put some rust proof-prevention.
Connor J.
The Tynee Explorer is an excellent esk8! This is my first time diving into the world of electric skateboarding and I don't regret my choice of board one bit. Tynee offer a fantastic price for their product, it's torque and range are unmatched and it makes for a great tool for exploration. Whether I've got the pneumatic off-road wheels or the cloudwheels fitted to the board, it tackles all terrains expertly (my favourite is drifting it around on a field of grass)
Highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade or get their first board. World class in the hobby!
Also much love to the Tynee team, any issues and they answer on WhatsApp promptly every single time providing on the go support and troubleshooting tips. You guys are the best!!!!
malte b.
I love this board. best ride feeling of all my purchases.
I bought a tynee classic last year and was impressed by the over all quality for the price. plus I never experienced a comparable good customer service.
Aden answered all my questions regarding motor and wheel upgrades with with a decent patience. I promised that my next bord will be a tynee bord as well. and so I bought the Explorer. I did not regret it. What an awesome board! Tynee fan boy!
Ming
I have owned my explorer for three days and already ridden 60 miles on it. Absolutely loving it! The bamboo deck is very flexible and comfortable to ride. The best part is how the top speed/power/acceleration/break can all be customized to your liking in whatever combination you want. It did take me a while to get used to the board. I had a meepo campus v2 from 2019. Single hub motor, not a lot of power. Explorer is a beast, definitely more power than I needed. I have yet to use mode 4 or reach top speed. I did accidentally push acceleration too fast a couple times and smashed the board on to a tree or while I was on it. That wasn’t very fun…. Be very careful and remember to turn the remote off right after you finish the ride.
Dustin H.
I love my new board but I keep popping inner tubes for the pneumatic tires it's becoming expensive you should do away with a pneumatic tires and just provide the cloud Wheels only
esk8unity
FREAKING AWESOME! the new 80a esc was the PERFECT upgrade to this board. great flex, great power, great speed. great for beginners AND advanced riders. the tkp trucks have a great balance of carve and stability. And theres not many 2 in1 FLEX decks with this type of performance. ESPECIALLY under $1000 ! we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this board (80a esc version)
Charles U.
Before I review the board I purchased I would like to give a gigantic shoutout to Aiden and the tyneeboard staff. Everyone works tirelessly around the clock to help you with any questions or concerns you have. I have never in my 15 years of consumerism ever, EVER received better customer support from any company in my entire life. Thank you Aiden and everyone behind this amazing product and having amazing customer service to support it!
I originally found tyneeboard from a friend who had just ordered the Ultra X. I rode his board one time and knew immediately I needed my own.
When placing my order I originally ordered the Ultra X, because of my friends, but with a faster delivery time to my house, I upgraded and went with the Explorer. Let me tell you how AMAZED and THRILLED I am with this board.
You want to do it? It does it. (No, sadly it’s not a submarine.) It has a smooth ride, extremely powerful with the 2.0 upgrade which I highly recommend(I also recommend proper riding gear, it goes very fast), and it goes the distance. I rode from my house over 2 towns, and back to my house and still had plenty of charge to keep going, only returning home due to rain clouds began forming above.
The products are all packaged extremely well and with a lot of care.
The hand remote has plenty of options, but is very simple to use and feels nice in your hand(s). I do recommend the wrist strap as you do NOT wish to ever accidentally drop the hand remote.

Howdy from Texas. Let's start with some info. I'm 60 years old and close to 200 lbs. with safety gear. I found changing all the explorers settings to "safe for old man" mode easy as pie. I now have acceleration, breaking and power dailed in perfect. I added shread lights, changed pivot cups and bushings to riptide 93a. Up front fat cone board side and barrel bushing road side. Out back chubby barrel board side and reg barrel bushing road side. The explorer is now perfect carving with good 30 mph stability. Hill climbing in speed mode 3 is respectable and mode T is awesome. The deck has just the right amount of flex to absorb Texas back roads. The molicel battery is great for those long rides into the sunset. All said this is my new primary esk8. The cows all stand up and take notice. Tynee in Texas is fun!
Michael A.
The Explorer is my first e-skateboard and I'm loving it ! I changed the factory deck with Tynee's wider/stiffer deck due to my weight being about 215lbs (deck has comfortable flex, but be careful with battery underbelly if you are 200+lbs)
I also picked up the double king pin trucks for a better turn radius. The griptape is custom (from YOC Grip) and I added lights (Shred Lights up front, cheap red headlamp on back)
Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised and satisfied with this purchase and product! The support has been great. I only wish some of the wheel / truck / deck options were more available during initial purchase instead of inquiring separately.
With all the other more expensive options out there, I'm not sure what would be better than this! Having a lot of fun and feeling great about the 1 year warranty. Thank you Tynee
Valeriy K.
Love the tynee explorer, such a good board got range, flexible, and can go through any terrain! Happy with my purchase!
Channan K.
I'm glad to have gone with the Tynee Explorer as my first esk8. Best bang for your bucks when comparing specs with other boards. Only ~250KM on my odometer though, but i've had it for less than 2 weeks. I take it out every chance I get and I'm impressed with the Brand. I would recommend to others who are getting into esk8ing. I do ride over grass and gravel trails too so I'm glad the battery is water proof.
Xavier N.
I got a tynee explorer about 2 months ago and I could not be any happier. This board has so many virtues. Power - comfort - good support from the manufactures - etc
I am impressed !!!
My main joy is how comfortable it is and how great it handles. Out of the box, it is very manuvarable. Then I bought the double king pin baseplate and I cant believe the sharpness of the turns. I think it is the angles on those DKP that makes it stable and super responsive. I have a backfire ranger X2 with DKP and these are definitely more stable and sharper turns.
The battery has a good size, about 700 Wh and excelent range. The motors are powerful. The price is bellow the competition and the amazing thing is that Aiden, the owner answers your questions !!!! I really cant believe it, he is very devoted to the company. And a one year warranty is pretty sweet.
One note on arrival the belts were too tight and I loosened them leading to much less noise from the motors. This seems to be common from all manufacturers (to send the boards with tight belts)
Currently I am experimenting with cloud wheels in the back and the pneumatic in the front. The sound produced by the smaller pulleys for the clouds wheels is much less (I am used to hub boards so sound matters to me)
I have had a meepo mini, meepo V3, and meepo V4, and and Backfire X2 ranger, and the Tynee company and particularly Explorer model are my TOP FAVORITE
Mykola
This is my first board and I am very happy that I chose this product. It's fantastic power, the smooth ride of a premium air-suspended SUV, and great range. The build quality and materials are also very good.
I am happy with my new hobby.
Thanks to Aiden for the advice to buy this particular board!
Fodor M.
Short version: The board is great, I love it, but if you want to be perfect, you have to tinker a little.
Long version: first the good things: the board itself is very good made, the deck, the motor, ESC. Now I am testing it, but the range and speed is as like as the tech spec, so no BS there. My favorite feature is you can customize everything: max speed/acceleration/break power. So if you are an inexperienced rider, like me, you can start from the lowest settings (walking speed) then pump up the numbers if you are confident enough. And I almost forget about the battery enclosure, what is plastic, and it is the highest quality plastic I ever see. If you ever touched a plastic case firearm imagine something like that, or better!
And now some smaller issues: The AT wheels are good, but the tires are low quality. They are not centered and woobles, so if you want to use the AT wheels I highly recommend to change them immediately, the wheel size are universal, so you can buy better tires easily. The second issue what I ran into was that the belts for the cloudweels was to long even in the back end position, so it slips when you break hard. I changed them to 295 mm belts and now its work like a charm.
Another great thing: the support in the website is very supportive and helpful.
I highly recommend this board to everyone, who do not mind to tinker a little and spend some extra cash to some accessory.
Alex
Really happy with that product and quality. Would be great if there was an option to orded 76t pulley and belt, since 200mm tires works really good with it)

Detailed review:
The unboxing/packaging - Came in great condition. The packaging was good enough. Was packed with a nice amount of foam. It came with a nice letter from Aiden (the owner of Tynee), extra belts, T tool, and everything you’d need to get going. Pretty straight forward, no instruction manual but none is needed really. They do have videos online if you want on how the remote works.
The pros:
-excellent ESC tuning. The throttle response and braking are smooth! The best I’ve seen since my original boosted board
-the remote is perfect. It’s not high tech, not the most durable, but functionally it will work great and do what it needs to. Will it survive a hard drop? Not sure…
-physical switch for reverse function, probably the best implementation of reverse I've ever used
-can turn board on/off from remote, extremely convenient
-can customize brakes, acceleration, and power in each of the modes. Can also set top speed limits which I find very helpful as I don’t want to go that fast, I want to stay at 20 mph and under and just carve
-No app needed to adjust settings, everything is done from the remote which I love! I hate when you have to rely on software/apps to adjust stuff
-deck flex is among the best I’ve seen, it has a nice springiness. Wouldn’t recommend for heavier riders though as it is pretty flexy
-enclosure is well designed to handle flex and it feels very premium
-customer service has been great/responsive and Aiden has been helpful. While responsiveness is great it’s more of a “you can fix this yourself” approach from customer service. I would assume if you need a part, they’d ship it to you from China (which could take long) and then you'd repair things yourself
-cruise control on remote: works good!
-good grip tape. Not overly abrasive but gives the right amount of grip
-good pricing, $300 or so less vs competitors I was considering
Cons:
-2 of my tires wobble at speed, doesn’t look like they are balanced. This was fault of Hota tires. It was causing slightly vibrations at motor mount and those went to the board which can be felt through my feet. To fix this I was recommended bkb tires from other users. I however did something simpler, I swapped the two good tires to the back and it's good now, the front tires not being perfectly true doesn't affect the ride.
-Plastic wheels/rims, some competitors are using aluminum wheels
-Deck feels…cheap. Not sure how to explain this, it just feels like a piece of wood that was cut to look like a skateboard. The sides are flat rather than rounded. Also it could be a bit wider and less longer.
Conclusion: this is a very comfy board and delivers on what it promises. It comes at a better price than competitors and does better than them in a lot of ways. If you’re looking for a comfy board to carve with that has smooth controls, this is it. Specially after you put on dkp trucks and adjust bushings to your liking…this may be the best carving board out there. They could improve their QA a bit or add steps to make sure things like wheel wobbles on tires isn’t there. Customer service response is great but be prepared to do things yourself. Also could improve the sharp edges on the deck, and make the sizing a bit better for those with larger feet.

Smooooth sailing.
I rarely use use my truck anymore, I mean it.
The speed limit in NYC is 25mph and the traffic sucks.
I get around so much faster with this board.
I live in Brooklyn NY near Greenpoint. I can make it into the city 20 minutes faster on my board. Excellent range.
The only thing that bugs ma a bit is that esc not as smooth as it should be. The other thing that bugs is right after I purchased the board I was sent an email saying
that they just released a new and improved esc. I wish they had told me that before I bought the board, tbat did bother me a Tynee bit ( ha ha ) . I just ordered and received discount on new esc along with remote.
These guys are pretty cool. They make a nice product and take the time to respond quickly if you have questions or need help. What else is there to say ? Most other brands are terrible.... they will straight up lie about shipments and completely blood you

TLDR; Very comfortable ride, ESC 2.0 is a necessity and fantastic customer support. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
I got this board to replace a WowGo3X with 120 mm Cloudwheels that has been put through the wringer in NYC Brooklyn commuting, about 4 miles both ways, 5 days a week. Last I checked, I was close to 3000 miles.
Things I love about the board:
-Pneumatic tires. I still love 120mm Cloudwheels as a lower maintenance option, but I have more confidence when I don't have to scan the road for imperfect pavement layouts constantly.
-Range is perfect. I only charge it at the office, so granted, I could be fine with a board that was.... 10 miles total range, but the last thing I ever want to think about is a board shutting down because of a power draw loss. Also, gives me good longevity with natural battery degradation.
-Remote has an insane amount of control with acceleration/braking fine-tuning.
-Eco mode! Best way to get used to the kick the board has while still retaining top speed.
-The ways the internals are laid out. Very smart and intentional. I know it's not a 100% waterproof design solution, but the glue job inside is done very well, and it was very easy to swap the 1.0 ESC to 2.0.
Things I wish were a little different / preference.
(Most of this comes from my first ride with it an accident. I still feel that this board is an easy recommendation but food for thought.)
-ESC 2.0 should be standard. Or Eco mode should be the standard /recommended mode on new boards.
Had a spill that happened due to an overcurrent when I started to accelerate on a paved bike path, and I went over standard small sidewalk bumps on Normal mode. It shook me up pretty badly because the road was about as perfect as I could hope from NY.
THIS ISSUE IS FIXED WITH ESC 2.0. It's better equipped for those calls in acceleration/voltage at those speeds and will not have that issue. It also is very smooth on the acceleration and the braking compared to 1.0, which feels like a raw powerhouse.
If you stick with 1.0, PLEASE use Eco mode as much as possible. It will decrease your initial acceleration (so slightly), but you do not want to chance an injury. And it's just as fun :)
- Tighter trucks on initial shipment. Carvy boards are fun, but I felt like there was an identity crisis with the board, which, to me, looked like a performance machine. High speeds never work well with loose trucks.
-Weight is just wild. Im spoiled by a street board hitting maybe 15-20 pounds, but that additional ten with this one just really knocks it out of you. (I hold the front truck and rest the underside of the board on my forearm/shoulder, which works better than towing for me)
- Look into balancing wheels for pneumatic tires as well. Easy to do with magnets from Amazon.
Look forward to new boards from Aiden and the crew at Tynee. Probably looking towards a Mini in the future to have an easier one to run around with. But, for a reliable daily commuter, I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the support

In short, it is great. The whole set-up of the board is very well thought out. The ride is very smooth and comfortable with a lot of power at your disposal if you need it. Love it, that all settings can be changed directly via the remote.
Jan B.
Very comfortable board, thanks to it's flexy deck. Real range with lower tire pressure and 90kg rider around 30-34 kms. Great board for the price.
But the most important is flawless support, that sorted out all of my concerns/issues/warranty claims in matter of minutes through the web chat box.
Good reputation company!
I hope there will be a gear drive available for Tynee Explorer soon, that's only thing I am missing a bit.
Jerome A.
Wow! The new v2 esc for the explorer turns this board to a whole new animal! I'm 230lbs and this thing rips at the highest acceleration. Still if the torque is too much, you can always change it via remote. Aiden as usual pulls through with another amazing advancement for the eskate community

Great board! Came from a Evolve GTR bamboo. Liked that board too. The Explorer is more flexibel /powerfull and has a better accu pack. Mine setup is with the DKP truck for the great curves.

First AT board, what a world of difference from my shortboard with polyurethane wheels. The ride is so smooth and comfortable, no more numb feet after a couple of miles. It just float through every bump on the road with ease, I love it! At first I was hesitant to get a longboard because I thought I'd lose the maneuverability of my shortboard, but Tynee Explorer can carve and turn really well even with the TKP. Only negative I can think of is that the back wheels are installed the wrong way, directional arrow is pointed toward the back, no biggie, easy fix.

Tynee Explorer board here.
I put the double king pins on tonight...
And WOW!!! Awesome maneuverability! No guessing "Can I make that corner?" Just GO!
I thought I really moved it before, but this is a new experience altogether!
❤❤❤ this board!!!
Thanks Aiden!

I have just received my Tynee Explorer and it is a beast. I was out trying it here in Denmark -10 below zero degrees and it was no problem for the motors or the battery. I was very pleased with the build quality and the overall experience of the board, truck and motors etc. is really good. The customer service at Tynee is very, very good and the package arrived just on time, I think I took about 4 days to get here. So all in all im am a very happy customer and I cannot wait to take for a long spin, when the weather gets dry again.

Impresionante skate! Muy versátil con los ejes DKP para hacer carving. Muy buena elección.

One of the best boards, what I had in my life :)

I had been riding a Backfire Esk8 when I decided to get the Tynee Explorer. First impression when it arrived was, “this thing is huge”. My first time hitting the accelerator, it almost shot out from under my feet, it is so powerful! Now I have put about 40 miles on it and I am loving it. The adjustments you can make for acceleration and braking are great to tune how you want it to ride. I personally turned everything down, because the power on this thing is off the charts. The torque off the line is really really strong. The AT wheels are ok, and give you a top speed of around 26 mph. I prefer the Cloud Wheels which give you a full 30 mph. The gearing that comes with the AT’s is more for torque than speed. The trucks turn much tighter than the Backfire when loose, but can be tightened up for those 30 mph blasts. Overall I am completely happy with the Explorer. The look… the POWER… the adjustability… the flex of the deck. And it did arrive in just a few days to me here in California. I was a little scared when they gave me a tracking link to some Chinese tracking site, but it obviously came from inside the US because of how quick it arrived. The belt drive is louder than a hub, but the sound flying down the street at 30mph is totally sci-fi awesome.

Such a comfortable ride and enough power to hit 30mph on a fully charge battery on cloud wheels. Specially weighing 230lbs its acceleration is linear. Nothing crazy like the eovan super but still has plenty of torque. Super nice to carve with updated riptide bushing. Only thing is the deck is only 9in and im a size 12 us in shoes. Other than that its super stable and able to cruise at 28mph without being sketchy. Overall its my new favorite board. Aiden was very helpful and assured me that i would get the p42a molicel if i order the 2in1 option. Delivery was the best only took 3 days to reach me in california!
Jan K.
My first board. The performance is exactly as expected and maybe more. But unfortunately, the rainproof board has rusting screws from the factory, for which you have to give bad feedback.
Andy W.
Best looking board ever !! The stock pneumatic tires are great, but personally I love the top speed and the smooth of street wheels. So I put the 100mm Boa wheels on and it just looks absolutely GOAT. But if you are a heavier guy you might have to watch out the ground clearance due to the flexible deck. The board is really well build, super powerful and smooth ESC, haven’t done a complete range test but on my first ride I went for 8.4 miles and The remote still shows four bars left. Very impressed! And the customer service is really responsible, Aiden has been very helpful with my problems. Overall, great board, very nice price, couldn’t be happier with the purchase!

I have been searching for a board to be my first electric skateboard but also, didn't want something i will have to replace at some point so i chose the Tynee.
Why? well, there are so many out there these days but the quick response from Aidan and the advice, I've chosen this board because it's a bamboo and it's extremely comfortable.
I have swapped the wheels from the AT to the cloud wheels and also changed the grip tape to something i had in my normal boards. The delivery to me (UK) took only 5 days from Germany which i thought was very fast and even faster than getting some stuff within the UK that i have yet to receive. I haven't tried it outside yet as i only got the cloud wheels and also, it's raining so i only tested a little inside my home.

Live in an area with a lot of hills and jacked up sidewalks - effortlessly goes up the hills and over the bumps. Haven't tried going faster than about 40km/h but I'm loving the plush ride. It's a really convenient and comfortable way to get around town. I can also do rides of around 20k and still have over half the battery left, it's great. Very pleased with it. I did loosen up the bushings and belts to get it riding the way I wanted but it's otherwise completely stock and I'm loving it. Haven't even tried the DKP trucks yet as the TKP ones carve and turn beautifully.

Love riding this board . It has great power good top speed and the best single kingpin trucks that I have ridden. I have not hit full speed yet but have had it up to 47k/h which is faster than my other boards. And that was in the 3rd power setting . If you like flex then this board is awesome . The remote is smoth and responsive with a great speed curve right out of the box . Power and range are both right up there with other boards of this type . Thank you Aiden and your team .
Adam
Very smooth ride. I'm 200lbs on mostly flat roads running 200mm tires on stock gearing.
Range is great and torque is high even with the larger wheels. At a manually limited cruising speed of 27mph it only pulls around 14 amps. The telemetry on remote is very nice along with being able to customize each mode. I did limit mode 3 to 27mph. With stock gearing on 200 mm tires I reached 35mph in turbo mode which is too much for the flexy deck. I like the throttle curve peak placed after half position on remote thumb roller. Some boards hit top speed at only 1/3 throttle which can seem jerky. This is a good setup with strong motors. A very nice board to ride.

What a great board and the customer service is next level..
Coming from an Exway X1 hub, the Tynee explorer just blows my mind. The board looks clean and is well build, every aspect of the board is just right. I've checked every bolt, screw, washer, belts, the tires etc. etc. before taking my first ride and everything was well assembled and nothing was forgotten. During my first ride i already enjoyed the flex of the deck and the feel of it, the stability (using TKP) is awesome even with stock bushings. The board has a nice dropdown deck with concave which is awesome for a good stance, which is needed if you put the acceleration to 100%, 80% is enough for me.
I did a range test on the AT wheels in mostly mode 2 (normal mode 2, not range mode) and sometimes mode 3, being ~155lbs geared up, i managed to get 42km with the battery not even being fully empty, which means the spec's are right about the range and imagine doing it in range mode. The AT tires have great grip and they really work well. I will be investing in other tires in the future, just like i will try other bushings. But this is just to try out other stuff and to see if it better fits to my personal weight/preferences, it isn't necessary.
The remote is just amazing, being able to change everything without an app and checking the battery voltage level on the remote is perfect. This is something which completes a great board, so good job Tynee!
David H.
Wow that flex I'm 105 kg rider and didn't expect that much flex . But had it sorted in te first few km . The board is comfortable, in fact extremely comfortable to ride .The trucks are at another level for a single kingpin . This is not my fastest or most toque oriented board . But it feels so good under foot it will soon be my favourite
Oscar M.
The best of two worlds, a smooth ride in a powerful electric skateboard. The power on hills are amazing and the range in one charge are very good. And i am a heavy rider 210 puonds. I love this skateboard and the Tynee products. I am a happy customer of two electric boards of this brand.

The Tynee Explorer is my first eskate but that doesn’t mean I don’t know what quality looks like. From how well packaged the board was when it arrived to how it has been performing has been way above expectations. The customizable settings directly on the remote make it it easy to adjust to my riding style. Power has been fantastic and has been more than enough to power through Wyoming trails. On pavement it absorbs cracks and bumps making a very comfortable ride. After tightening the trucks a bit I feel very stable at higher speeds and cruising at 25 mph feels great. I really enjoy the flexible board and the drop downs really help lock you on the board for a comfortable/stable ride. The only thing I’m not a big fan of are the tires. This is purely personal preference but I will be upgrading to a bit more aggressive AT pneumatic tire once these wear out. Overall I am very pleased with my board and will be purchasing more products from Tynee in the future. Also of note is the incredible customer service they offer. Any question or concern I had was promptly answered.

Easily my favorite board ever. I’ve had several Boosted boards and Exways and the Tynee is the most comfortable board I’ve ridden. I can’t wait to put more miles on it
Keith W.
It's a beautiful board, really fast, torque is ample, carving is great, grip tape colors should be swapped to have clear on Inside and dark griptape on the outside, handel should come pre-installed. Prob the greatest thing I have ever experienced, it can go so far I feel like i rarely charge it, I like cloudwheels cause I don't have to worry about flat tires

Loving it so far!
I haven't even tried the cloudwheels yet because the pneumatics with a flexible deck are just so good. I can go up sidewalks and even across train tracks and feel confident.
The acceleration is way more than I really need and breaking is strong enough that the wheels can lock up and slide if you aren't careful.
The remote also feels really good and I love the physical reverse button!
Also I know it's subjective, but the board just looks so good! <3
Daniel B.
Fantastic. An incredible board. Being able to adjust everything with the remote control is the best. Good work.
