They are charging too much for the gear drive I will say that first off, at least for the stinger option because it’s the only one that doesn’t come with an extra truck with the brackets attracted already. I don’t know why that is but it makes no sense for them to be the same price.
Very easy installation, it’s nice to have a heat gun around it takes over a half an hour of running your motors to get them hot enough to remove the glued in pulley screws since the motors on the stinger have great heat dissipation it takes longer.
The are very quiet, 75percentish more quiet than belts, which is impressive for an all steel gear drive. It makes good use of helical gears. There’s a little bit of slack in the gears, the wheels wobble a little back and forth in between teeth, it changes the boards top speed to right about 30mph which is perfect, 32mph(real) isn’t needed on this board even though it can handle it with a good tune and rider and conditions.
The Acceleration is smoother, the engagement is so much easier than the belts so that paired with the quietness makes for a more relaxing ride. More peaceful. Even though I do enjoy the loud whining of belts and loud jet engine sounding gear drives.
Lastly I want to say the biggest con and really the only one is my cruiser board that’s 26 pounds stock, I upgraded to mad wheelz v2, and they are a little bit heavier than the stock wheels because they are wider and 2mm or so taller, and now the gear drive on top of that, it’s like the board is over 30 pounds now and it’s a cruiser. It’s still easier to carry than a 2 in 1 since the weight is centered in to a smaller zone it’s less awkward to carry still good for busses despite its weight. I’m installing a handle that flexes of some sort under the kicktail so I can drag the board like a suitcase, if you have long arms you can hold it by the end of the tail and walk it I guess, but a handle would be easy to install and so comfy compared to pinching the tail with your fingers.
Most important thing about this purchase is the fact it allowed me to use 8mm riser pads, Which unlocked a new level of handling. You can get the rear motors to hit if you for the trucks down with your hands but when riding the board it is IMPOSSIBLE. And motors hitting doesn’t hurt anything anyway but they do not hit. If you really wanted to have extra wiggle room you can go 10mm riser pad which will still handle great but there’s no point.
The best bushing combination for this board for most people will be 96/96 96/96 rear truck all flat washers and 96A/93A 96a/93A for the front truck all flat washers. Riptide Krank .6 barrels! Always upgrade you electric skateboard bushings because it’s so cheap yet so critical for performance and safety too! You’ll be less likely to wipe out! Just get riptides! Do it! And pivot cups too don’t forget those ! 96A pivots! Get the double kingpin bushing box!
Aiden: chill out with the riser pads. Thank you for these quality and affordable electric skateboards! Sending all your way

It is ok. It isn't the best but it is ok. Bad option especially for Ultra X Pro due the shorter truck. Check my full review on my Youtube @turojede.

1 month with geardrive its so good I can't really describe it. It's like a normal skateboard to push no resistance. No maintenance at all. Just put some moore grease in every third month or when it starts to make to mutch noise. Faster and moore range. It's the best upgrade to a board you can get! Love it. Just want to get it to my Explorer as well. :-)

Installed it. Look closely to the video so you get the gear wheels on correctly. One ride! So far so good. Smoth and safe ride and really nice. Great support from Aiden and his team! :-) it is the Mini 3 pro.

I worked on the replacement until 2 a.m. yesterday, I can't stop because it's fun, and I tried my first drive this morning
