I’ve been using the 105mm Cloudwheel Discovery FE wheels on my Tynee Ultra Pro Hub, and I have to say — the ride feel is noticeably smoother compared to the stock donut wheels. Road vibration is reduced a lot, and they make longer commutes much more comfortable. They really shine on pavement and help turn rough streets into something way more manageable.
Install was super easy. Tynee included everything I needed — plus extras — so I had no issues getting them mounted. They fit perfectly with my hub setup.
That said, these wheels are slick in wet conditions. Any bit of moisture on the road, and you can feel the board want to slide, especially if you're riding straight and hit a turn or stop unexpectedly. Because of that, I’ve actually started running a hybrid setup: Discovery FEs in the front for that smooth ride, and semi-AT donut wheels in the back for better grip and traction.
I’m not sure why they’re advertised as “multi-purpose” — they really feel more like dedicated street wheels to me. They're great on smooth asphalt, but not something I’d trust in rain, gravel, or unpredictable surfaces.
Overall, I’d recommend them for riders focused on comfort and long-distance commuting on dry, paved roads. Just know the limits and maybe keep an eye on the forecast.
